Concerns over finance can impact on wellbeing.

For anyone worried about finances, there is a free and impartial money advice, set up by government, called Money Helper. It provides:

  • Advice and guides to help improve finances
  • Tools and calculators
  • Support over the phone and online
  • Pension advice
  • Debt advice

Telephone: 0800 138 7777

For help with debts, credit questions or pensions guidance, send a WhatsApp message to +447701342744

Anyone can use the service, and they provide guidance across a wide range of money matters, including a number of useful tools and calculators to help people manage their money. Their focus is on supporting people who can benefit the most from their help or who are going through significant life events – such as saving for a home, dealing with the breakdown of a long-term relationship, or starting a family.

Helping people tackle problem debt

Money Helper aims to help people avoid getting into unmanageable debt but, for those who do, they can fund the provision of free, high-quality debt advice, delivered by their partners across the UK. Money Helper is the largest single funder of debt advice in the UK.

Their aim is to make sure people get the help they need to deal with their creditors and reduce their debt, and also the support to manage their money and build their financial resilience, so they are less likely to get into difficulties.

The Pension Advice Service (TPAS)

TPAS is part of the Money and Pensions Service and provides information and guidance to help people make informed decisions about their pensions and retirement plans.
